Kiedy Tom miał 10 lat jego rodzice się rozwiedli. Wraz z matką i rodzeństwem w 1959 r. przeprowadził się do Chula Vista, jednak większość czasu spędzał na przedmieściach San Diego. Jest to miłosna pieśń poświęcona rodzinnemu miastu artysty.
